I helped one of these today that was trapped on a log. I presume spider webbing.
With what looks like a sting protruding from the rear they are three inches long.
It's about 5 times larger than a wasp !
Had to pick it up. Which had me thinking.......................
Would a stick have been better?
Anyway it flew off ok. Seems to like pine woods which is what NYF is.
